Privacy Peek

Analysis of privacy policy documents using LLMs. The goal of this tool is to allow people to gauge platforms' privacy practices and trustworthiness at a glance. LLms are already so good as text analysis, so why not leverage that in a way that actually adds value, even in the slightest way. I'm driven by the belief that it is easier to act on information you have, than that you do not. And the easier it is to gain that information, the more probable you are to act on it. Privacy policies are most of the time designed in a way that discourages quick understanding of what they entail, hence the epidemic of uninformed consent - we click "Agree to terms and conditions" without actually reading said T&Cs. But if someone/something else did the reading for you and gave you a simple digestible visual analysis, then you are less likely to give uninformed consent.
